In this Open Forum, we will share and discuss the contents of our second policy brief – exploring the contentious topic of positive action, assessing arguments for and against, drawing insights from MINDtheGEPs' Gender Equality Plan development.

Facts and figures helps us take the cultural and structural actions needed to achieve gender equality. MINDtheGEPs partners are developing and implementing Gender Equality Plans (or ‘GEPs’, built on data from across the organisation. On 12 May 2023, at 10 CEST we present results and policy recommendations from our mapping of the push and pull factors that are (de)constructing gender inequalities across a research career, and on different levels. Why? Because gender is a social structure that is characterized by multiple intersected barriers, requiring multiple intersected actions to be removed.
